This is a FREE online event for educators interested in transforming the way we teach the history of Muslims in the UK.
It is a great way to support work you may be doing in ‘diversifying’ your curriculum in history, geography, PSHE, Citizenship, and SMSC.
This session will not only support those looking to integrate previously erased histories into their curriculum but will also offer a proactive approach to tackling Islamophobia.
It will take place on Zoom on Thursday November 6th : 4pm -5.30pm GMT
There will be a 10-minute break for Maghrib (sunset) prayer at 4.45 pm to ensure that this clash will not deter anyone from attending.
This is a collaboration between Ruth Sinhal’s C.I.C. Project FREE, Islamophobia Awareness Month, and Educate Against Islamophobia.
During the 90-minute session, there will be presentations from three experts in their fields: one will speak about Muslim history in Scotland, one in Wales, and the other in Northern Ireland.
