To achieve our collective mission of an education sector that is reflective of society, we’ve created a range of useful resources and downloads.
In response to the far right, extremist, Islamophobic/Muslim hate riots in the UK in Summer 2024, the BAMEed Network, in partnership with Zahara Chowdhury of School Should Be, Educate against Islamaphobia, Islamaphobia Awareness Month, Black Educators: Truth to Power, and Ruth Sinhal of Project FREE- Connecting Communities C.I.C, have gathered a set of resources to support schools to address racism in the classroom and begin their anti-racist journey. This set of resources includes:
- A template letter for schools to edit and send to pupils, families, staff, and other stakeholders
- An open letter to the Labour government calling for urgent action on safeguarding and child protection, in light of recent riots in the UK
- A co-created collection of events and resources
