Professor Khadija Mohammed – Associate Vice-Principal (Inclusivity)
Khadija is a sector leader on racial equity and anti-racism education. She is a Professor in Teacher Education and her research centres on the lived experiences of Black and Minority Ethnic Teachers in Scotland with a focus on acknowledging, nurturing and celebrating their diverse identities. Khadija is the co-founder and Chair of SAMEE, which shares collaboration with BAMEed in Scotland. SAMEE deliver a Leadership and Mentoring Programme for BAME educators.
Khadija is multi-award winner within Higher Education and was the first BAME educator to be elected as the Convenor of the General Teaching Council for Scotland 2020-24 (GTCS). She is currently the chair of the Scottish Government Anti-Racism in Education Programme Board (AREP).
