Bilkis Miah – CEO & Founder

Bilkis Miah is the Founder of You Be You” an innovative initiative dedicated to empowering young people through culturally relevant diversity and inclusion education and community engagement. Recognised as one of the top 100 social entrepreneurs in the UK by NatWest, Bilkis has transformed her personal journey from an immigrant working-class background to a leadership role, making her a powerful role model for women and young people from all walks of life. 

Leveraging her British Bangladeshi heritage, Bilkis has created a unique platform that addresses systemic barriers to inclusion and equity. Under her leadership, You Be You has successfully launched programs across 20 schools in the UK, impacting over 11,600 pupils, training 657 teachers, and engaging 350 parents. Her work has not only fostered confidence and resilience among young participants but has also been instrumental in promoting mental health and challenging stereotypes. 

Bilkis is passionate about sharing her insights and experiences to inspire and educate others. She is open to speaking engagements, including panels and workshops, where she can discuss topics such as social entrepreneurship, diversity and inclusion, mental health, and the power of education in transforming lives. 

Bilkis continues to drive change and advocate for a more inclusive and equitable society, one initiative at a time.
