This Town Hall, hosted by The Black Curriculum, is a space for learning and collaborative discussion for teachers and educators wishing to include more diverse perspectives.
This town hall aims to bring together educators from different backgrounds to discuss their experiences of diversifying the curriculum. We want to create conversations and support networks in the hopes of empowering teachers to advocate for change within their circles, from looking at existing content in new ways to encouraging schools to adopt different GCSE/A Level topics.
This event combines a workshop, a talk from our guest speaker (to be announced!), and a community discussion, giving educators the opportunity to connect and learn from like-minded teachers. We will be creating conversations and support networks for the purpose of empowering teachers to advocate for change within their circles, from looking at existing content in new ways to encouraging schools to adopt different topics.
The Town Hall is aimed at Secondary School, Sixth Form, and College teachers in England.
