Teacher Retention meeting with the DfE

At the start of April, Domini Choudhury met with the Department for Education in her role as a trustee of The BAMEed Network to contribute to their proposed strategic response to the teacher retention aspects of the new Schools White Paper.

Here’s a short update from Domini, with more to follow in the autumn term.

“I was pleased with the commitment of the DfE towards ensuring more inclusive and diverse recruitment, and I received a very positive response to my recommendations of how their strategy could be improved and implemented. I’m not allowed to say any more than that as the plans are confidential until the autumn term, but I do feel that they will take my advice into consideration as they tweak the strategy ready for roll-out in September.”
