Join us for the 3rd annual collaboration between Islamophobia Awareness Month, Educate Against Islamophobia and Project FREE- we invite you to join our two free online sessions on the afternoons of Nov 3rd and 4th. There will be 3 different speakers presenting at each session.

Our aim is to amplify and explore a range of ways educational settings can improve how they recognise and resist Islamophobia.
Each of our speakers will draw on their own individual experiences and professional expertise in their particular presentation.

| Amarah Ali – Amarah works in school improvement and inclusion as the founder of an inclusion framework in its piloting phase. She is also one of the core managers of Equilibria; a grassroots charity taking islam into classrooms Azam Ali – Azam Ali brings 27 years of inner-city school experience, spanning roles from classroom teacher to middle and senior leadership. An experienced advisor on diversity, inclusion, and government policy. He currently serves as a Secondary School Advisor and SMSC specialist with The Linking Network. Saima Saleh – Saima is a full time RE lead at a Surrey Junior school as well as the Local Groups officer for NATRE. Saima speaks on Islam and antiracism. She is also a co-founder of the Race and Education Film Club. | Saara Quested – Saara is a Senior Programme Manager and leads on the Schools With Roots programme at Maslaha Peter Hopkins – Peter is a Professor at Newcastle University and author of the book Everyday Islamophobia published by Bristol University Press in 2025 Mama Dampha – Mama is a student of International Relations and Arabic, and a dedicated education and human rights activist, focusing on reforming the Education sector to be more inclusive. |
