This academic year, we’ll be facilitating a series of courageous conversations about race. Ahead of these events to encourage dialogue, we’ve collated videos & reading to prompt reflection and ask you to engage with these here.
The second session in this series is in conversation with Karen Giles, Angela Browne and Malcolm JohnThe second session in this series, taking place on Monday 23 November at 17:30, will be in conversation with a group of panellists with experience of recruitment of diverse school staff, governors and trustees:
- Karen Giles – headteacher, Barham Primary School and Chair of Trustees, Inspire Partnership Trust
- Angela Browne – Education Leadership Coach, author Lighting the Way: the case for ethical leadership and former headteacher
- Malcolm John – founder of Action for Trustee Racial Diversity
The session will be a discussion between members of The BAMEed Network and the panellists, drawing on questions from the session participants online. Each session will be recorded and all ticket holders will receive the link to this after the event.
