Get to Know Your Wellbeing Day Facilitators

Tarah Kandial:

I am a multi-media fine artist from London, now based in South Wales. I studied art through a psychological lens, and I am currently focused on developing a visual language that explores the nuances of culture, belonging, memory and identity through layered, mixed-media paintings, alongside offering arts-based initiatives within communities.

As a facilitator, I am interested in creating spaces where people can come together to share stories, dismantle self-judgement, and reconnect with their innate creativity. My work centres on encouraging a sense of play and curiosity, breaking down barriers to art-making, and using creativity as a tool for self-inquiry and well-being.

Phipps Dogo:

I am a passionate HCPC registered Dietitian and a Community Health Advocate who blends culture, nutrition and movement to inspire Generational Wellness.

I lead a monthly fitness class called AFROBLAST, where I teach body weight exercises powered by high vibrant Afrobeat music. This helps celebrate the African heritage whilst making fitness fun, inclusive and accessible to all. Beyond the workout, I’m also dedicated to educating families and underserved communities about culturally balanced foods, food confidence and sustainable habit that supports long term wellbeing and GENERATIONAL HEALTH!

My mission is to empower our communities with the knowledge and toolbox needed to build healthier future Generations.

Kiani Perera:

Generationally rooted in the 8 Limbs of Yoga and trained traditionally in India, I blend my expertise as a yoga instructor, Further Education lecturer and education consultant to support healing. My mission is to help individuals navigate racial traumas, identity struggles and mental health challenges through traditional yoga, far beyond just postures.

Specialising in yoga, chakra healing and meditation I craft accessible practices for all levels, embedding Pranayama (breath control) to ground sessions in the art of living. Whether you seek introspection, mental resilience or physical strength, my teachings are tailored to your journey. Yoga, to me, a relationship between your mind and body bound by your breath.

Let’s normalise self-care and active rest!

Thank you for all that you do. We look forward to supporting you on this special day.

Warmly,

Kiani Perera, VC
