‘70% of the University was non-white.’

It feels like decades ago, but only because the world has fallen apart since.

Sitting on a sofa in an old friend’s flat, catching up about life, and talking about why she dropped out of university. That’s when it slipped.

It was a confident, uninhibited proclamation about why she had struggled to make friends, to fit in. And it was racist.
