Racism and discrimination are endemic in British society and institutions. From education to religion, to health, to business and industry, to government and politics, no sector is immune. Racism is, “conduct or words or practices which advantage or disadvantage people because of their colour, culture or ethnic origin. In its more subtle form, it is as damaging as in its overt form” (p.41).
