On the 4th December 2018, I was invited to take part in a panel discussion hosted by the Runnymede Trust and the Institute of Historical Research about Black and Asian British history on the school curriculum. This is not an issue that is openly, and actively, discussed amongst the history teachers and teacher trainers and it was great to hear such a rich and focussed discussion take place alongside some rather brilliant creative responses from a variety of poets (podcast of the event is available here). It was an incredibly positive and refreshing discussion and I want to thank Sundeep and Malachi at Runnymede for putting the event together.
